I’ve always believed that if you’re lucky enough to build a life around the things that bring you joy, you should.

And lately, I’ve realized I’ve drifted a lot from my original vision.

If you’ve been in the shop over the last year and a half, you’ve probably noticed small changes quietly happening in the background. Less shelving. Fewer small goods. Reduced hours. A slow shift in an attempt to simplify things while trying to create more room for me to take on design projects again, something that lights me up in a way nothing else really does.

The store has grown into something very special. Truly. Sometimes I walk through it and still can’t believe we created this little world, and I’m incredibly thankful every single day for the chance we’ve had to do it.

But somewhere along the way, it also became bigger than we ever intended it to be. Bigger than we could comfortably manage as a small family business with very little staff. No big behind-the-scenes team. No marketing department. No web team is constantly updating things. It’s just us.

And over time, what once felt inspiring began to feel overwhelming.

I’ve spent a lot of time struggling with that.

The late nights.

The constant trying to catch up.

The feeling of never quite getting ahead of the work, no matter how hard you try.

And I realized something had to change because that’s not the kind of life I want anymore.

So, we’re shifting things.

Farrow & Ball is closing their Toronto warehouse and moving its facilities to Texas. For us, that means lead times are about to get a lot longer, longer than we’re willing to make you wait for your projects. Because we’re committed to keeping your timelines on track, we’re clearing out our entire in-store inventory to make room for what’s next.
