It was the last week of summer....and now it is Labour Day Weekend. I have been wanting to try something for a while....so I jumped, feet first down one more rabbit hole. I seem to be doing that a lot lately.

I'm not finished just yet.....there was a bit of laying out and designing involved. Then it needed to be adjusted .Jack came out a couple of times. The hood needs to be attached, the sleeves need lengthening, binding needs done and then all the quilting needs to be tidied of its thread tails

She looks good, yesterday it could have gone either way. Maybe a jacket, maybe a vest. Jacket for the win.

Here is a Summer Hexi Project I have been enjoying.
Several of my local Quilty friends signed up as well. It is a free Summer Project with Mad About Patchwork (a Quilt shop in Ottawa) I am completely new to hexies but I have fallen hard. I have finished and homed my second Hexi project, Irish Flower Garden. Before the first project is complete. Third and fourth project ideas are also ready to start. The current dilemma is, yellow or black background for this project. Originally I was team Yellow all the way. I am now siding on team Black. A different choice for me. Please feel free to comment on your favorite. Thanks 😎😊😉

There has been some progress this weekend.
A great start to August. ❤️ Munker Effect Baby Quilt is complete. It will be delivered for New Baby gift giving later this month. ❤️ Irish Flower Garden top is complete and binding is ready as well. To be quilted when time allows or someone requests it.
