A huge shout out to cnp_40 Close to a 100 teens came through the door today for the Amazing Race challenge here in Bellevue! There challenge was to wrap a Blind Date with A Book! They rocked out rhe challenge and we now have Blind Dates a Plenty.. $20 .
Thanks to the CNP Volunteers and Teri Harrison Allison Marie for all their help!

I couldnt be more excited for a childrens book!!! Its release day for The Gruffalo Granny!!! We presold a few and have 8 copies remaining!!!

Fall is in the air and we have refreshed the bookshop hours for September
10-4 Tuesday to Thursday, Friday open till 6pm, Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 11-3

📚Tuesdays Turned Two!!! 🎂

I want to say a huge thank you to this community for all the support Ive received to every individual that has walked through the Bookshop doors, purchased a book, sticker, bookmark, etc.. thank you!
To all the authors , the families, the artist and creatives, my fellow bookish coffee drinking friends a huge thank you for supporting this little shop.

It gives me the greatest joy daily to chat all things books, the ones we have loved and even the ones we have hated but still somehow read them 😂 along with a few we DNF’d. There is nothing better than to hear what reading adventure you are on ❤️ My bookish soul thanks you!!

Marcello’s book was longlisted for the 2026 Toronto Book Awards, and last month it won the 2026 City of Calgary W.O. Mitchell Book Prize.

Through powerful storytelling and in-depth reporting, Precarious explores the lives, challenges, and resilience of migrant workers whose labour supports communities across Canada.

Come hear Marcello speak about the book, ask questions, and have your copy signed. Everyone is welcome!
