Handmade furniture and decor in Central Alberta

With an aging summer cabin at Gull Lake, Cabin-ish was originally born out of necessity. Cabin-ish owners Rick and Laura Cozicar, along with their family, would come to their favourite weekend get away and as we all know, the work at the summer place is never done, they would take on many new projects including furniture, renovations, and updates. Since normally the furniture builds were not planned, the materials used were often what was on hand for the latest repair/update happening, and Cabin Chic was born!

Originally consisting of 2x4 spruce and fence boards, the Cozicar’s began to get creative and have fun with what they could create with what they could find. They had so many project ideas they had had to start purchasing more and more materials to bring to life all their handmade creations!

Today, we have added a few more types of materials but the idea is the same. We wanted Cabin-ish to be comfortable, simple, and timeless. Furniture and decor that you and your family can use for years to come without worrying about how it will hold up.

We offer a many handmade items, from garden boxes, rocking chairs for your front porch, bistro sets and benches to enjoy your morning coffee while the birds sing their cheery songs. Our blanket ladders, kitchen knife storage and tv tables are sure to make your life easier! Don’t forget to check out our wooden garden swings. These come with or with a stand to put in that perfect spot in your yard!
