Many of you have asked what was going into our former shop space and now I can share! My amazing friend Kyla has transformed the space into this beautiful, whimsical gift shop and I couldn’t be happier! Please like her page and stop in to see her. She has a little of everything! So happy for Kyla and her family!

I don't know how YOU spend your work day, but I get to spend mine in this sweet little shop, and I'm so grateful!

Morning everyone! We are open today 12-6 but we will be closed Thursday. My poor hubby spent the night in the emerg dept and I will need to be home with him tomorrow. Got him covered today, but just being proactive. Poor guy is in agony! These are the reasons we are going online….you never know what’s going to happen!

Well, this is the post I’ve been dreading for a long time. I wanted to do this in a Facebook live, but the lump in my throat is too big. ❤️

I sadly need to announce that my dear Sweeties store front is closing. This store has been my everything. I started this business as a homage to my dear momma. I could feel her pride in me from wherever she was and I knew that she would have been my biggest supporter. However, Covid had other plans for us. I’m not one to question why things happen, I just accept that things happen for a reason.

We have pivoted and continued to struggle through this pandemic and it’s aftermath. However, we just can’t do it anymore. But I need to THANK all of you for the amazing support, the awesome friendships and the memories that I will keep forever. To my littles, I will miss our after school conversations, the special holidays and the excited faces. I adore you all. But, my biggest thanks needs to go to my family. Chris, Emma, Grâce, Lily and Isabelle. You all have sacrificed SO much to allow me to try and make this store work. I love you so much.

We will be open until the end of the month and then we are switching things up. You WILL still see us, but in a different format. Think “Sweeties at Home”….More to come on that soon.

Thank you all for allowing me into your life - even if it was just for a short time. You’ve been (and hopefully will still be) the best customers. PLEASE come see us this weekend and next week. We are selling everything in the shop and I would love to say thank you face to face. I’m very sorry to let some of you down.

I want you all to know that I am reading every nomination that has been sent and I am feeling so humble. I’ve been really stuck in the “poor me” mentality with the store possibly closing, financial issues and other personal issues. Reading these stories has just floored me with how rough it really is out there for members of our community. I wish I could do so much more than I am able to, but I am sending out a massive plea to our community.

PLEASE ask around if you are able to do something small for someone in our community. People are really suffering. So many financial and health issues. Not small ones, but ones. Even if you have $50.00 to give someone in a card, ask and see if someone needs something. I would never divulge the stories being sent, but I will say I’ve received over 50 submissions for people who have nothing. No money, dealing with life or death issues and so much homelessness. So many seniors living in cars.

If you would like to do something, I have the names and addresses of people who could really use a Christmas miracle. Big or small, or even just a thoughtful note. I can give you the contact if you want to help.

Our very first Christmas open was in 2019. That year, we asked you, our customers to send a message to us nominating someone who could use a pick me up that Christmas holiday and we delivered a few bags around the community. It was an amazing experience.

Since this may be Sweeties last Christmas open, we thought we would end the way be began.

If you know someone that is having a rough holiday, or someone just simply amazing, please send us a message explaining who they are. We can’t do many, but we will choose 3 and deliver a secret anonymous gift to their doorstep. Let’s try and keep the Christmas magic alive even during such difficult times. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
