Eleven years ago today, I married the man who has helped me shape my dreams into reality. What I didn’t realize then was that saying “I do” was not just us committing to each other and blending our families, it was also the moment I said yes to Destiny Blooms Designs by Sandy and didn’t even know it.
The flowers started small. I designed the silk centerpieces for our reception. Rounded aisle markers lining our pathway to the ceremony and even the floral details on our favours. I decorated each piece as my vision for our perfect day unfolded. What I realize now is that it wasn’t just wedding decor - it planted the seed.
For over a decade, that seed has been quietly growing — through corporate life, through family seasons, through seasons I couldn’t even name. Every flower I touched, every design I imagined, every moment I felt alive arranging something beautiful — that was the real story unfolding beneath everything else.
This Saturday, July 25th, I’m launching my website. And I’m finally saying out loud what those silk flowers whispered eleven years ago: this is who I am. This is what I’m meant to do.
The journey wasn’t linear. It wasn’t always visible. But it was always there — blooming in the background, waiting for me to catch up.
Here’s to the long game. Here’s to the flowers that knew before I did. 💐✨

I’m so excited! Something’s been brewing for the last three years. Flowers, vision, intention — all of it coming together in a way I never expected. My website will be launching in just over 10 days!! This is the culmination of stepping away from the corporate world, finding my purpose in flowers and celebration, and learning that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is create beauty for people on their most important days. I’ve been a student of life — of flowers, of weddings, of what it means to build something from the ground up while still holding space for the people I love. I’ve learned that success isn’t about pressure or perfection. It’s about showing up authentically, even when you’re still figuring it out. On July 25, my website goes live. It’s my story. It’s my flowers. It’s an invitation to work with someone who believes that every wedding, every event, every arrangement is a conversation between you and the universe about what matters. From stems to stunning!

This is what a morning of pure focus looks like. A stem of possibility on one side, a view of an inspiration picture in the middle - and something that will make someone shine on graduation day on the other 🎓.

Every one of my designs starts just like this. An inspiration, raw materials and a whole lot of love 💕.

I can’t wait to see the graduates wearing their Hawaiian themed Lei’s celebrating their graduation ceremony tomorrow!

Every arrangement tells a story before it’s finished.

This is my favourite type of quiet 💐.

Flowers don’t care about deadlines or notifications. They just need the right love, attention and care to be their best self when it matters. (Honestly? Same…and who doesn’t?)

I’m a certified florist and wedding planner and THIS is my job, it’s everything.

Why I Do This…
I spent 27 years in the corporate world life. I sat in boardrooms, managed large scale projects, managed policies and helped other people build their careers. And I was good at it.
But every single day I drove home I knew there was more.

So I retired a year ago at 55 to do THIS. To work with something living and beautiful every single day. To put something gorgeous into someone’s hands and watch their face completely change.

That’s the whole job, that is everything.

I’m a certified florist and wedding planner who offers Month of Coordination services. I’m a home based business in Bolton, Ontario and service the GTA for all events and occasions…and the Niagara region for large events. Niagara holds a very special place in my heart. It’s where my life journey began.
