It has been an exceptional season for Chinook fishing here on Vancouver Island with still several weeks to go..but more to mind is the up coming Coho season and those cool flies we all lke to tie and use..finally we did receive some much needed Grizzly Saddles and I have to say our feather dyeing pots has been busy..even some Chartreuse Polar Bear for our Clouser And hair wing Minnow patterns

Salmon season is moving along nicely...so many fish to be had and so little time ...The Chinook are making their way into the streams to reproduce and reveal thier size and power..Coho are preparing to hit the local beaches waiting for the rains,,and Pinks are almost expired now...a good time to be on the waters!! This short video shows Nature at its best...as I rescued a stranded incoming Chinook his friends simply continued their journey

Well here we are in Mid August and all is well..the Pink Salmon run is in full flight and many anglers have stocked their freezers with a years supply of Fish...Now onto the Coho and incoming Chinook here on Vancouver Island...of course not to forget about those amazing days in remote locations chasing Sea Run Cutthroat Trout and even the elusive Summer Steelhead..on the fly!!

A day on the water is better than a day cutting grass or other useless things...and of course chasing Pink Salmon is always a good idea..it is that time of year!!! What I tried to do here is to catch a series of the Salmon all with different tried and true flies such as the Gurgler,Pink Fuzzy,The Enilator,Purple Fuzzy,Small Epoxy Red Minnow pattern..it is one of those times when the fish cooperate and there is space and time
