A little bit of Haliburton….

Lily of the valley is an easy perennial flower that blooms in early spring. Its nodding blooms are highly fragrant. Be warned this beauty is poisonous!

The purple-flowering raspberry ( resembles the Mapleleaf)is a type of raspberry bush with large showy flowers and no thorns or prickers to get in your way. The flowers on this bush will last throughout the summer, giving way to some tart, though still edible, small-sized berries. Also known as the thimbleberry

Suillaceae is a genus of mushrooms that are most often found under conifer trees. Some species of Suillaceae are edible and commonly known as butter mushrooms. With the decline in their natural habitats, several species of suillaceae are listed as vulnerable or endangered species.

I purchased this book at this weekend's market and I was lucky enough to meet the author of chapter 19 Tamara Trotman. This is an amazing book of compiled stories of wisdom and motherhood. There’s no better feeling than women supporting women!!

Happy Easter 🌹🌼
Spring has sprung! This is my first bloom of the season. The common primrose is a welcome sign of early spring.
The botanical name holds the same meaning as the common name primrose. It is derived from a late Latin word "prima rosa", consisting of prima meaning "first" and rosa meaning "rose"🌹
