This year, Earth Month extended into May for me and A|C as we brought back our denim Upcycling workshops to the gyal fam in the West End AND to the program at PDSBBSS Centre for Black Excellence.
We coordinated, supplied and facilitated 3 multi-hour workshops within the month and I was absolutely in love with what everyone was able to create with their existing denim - everything from bag charms to scrunchies to bags to wallets.
I especially love being able to share the power of upcycling with youth outside of their regular curriculum. Bringing them back to the tools that are their own two hands and a creative idea to reduce their waste is such a fulfilling experience.
