🌿Shared from a fellow Oiler 🍃
Dr. Winterton, an orthopedic surgeon, was the first doctor I heard describe suggesting oils to patients.
He stood on stage at doTERRA’s convention and told us that as a doctor, if he repairs a knee but then has a patient that is hooked on pain medications after the surgery, he hasn’t done his job...Because a patient hooked on pain meds is not truly any better than when they first came in even if the knee is repaired.
That is powerful. That is a doctor truly practicing "First Do No Harm"
Then he shared the protocol with us that he uses with his patients.
1.) Equal parts Oregano, OnGuard and Melaleuca topically for a week pre-op*.
2.) Then he applied the same blend immediately before and after operating.
3.) Continue for two weeks post-op.
I know it can be tricky navigating oil use around surgeries when some health care providers don't know enough about them and can’t recommend using them so here is my suggestion...
If you have these oils learn to use them well now. That way when something does come up that is bigger than a scratchy throat or upset tummy you will have the confidence to put your oils to work and care for your family in ways that can make a life time of difference.
*use carrier oil as needed
