We are honoured to announce that Concrete Angel Apparel will have featured in the 2023 Coalition Against the Sexual Exploitation of Youth (CASEY) that is coming up in the area later this spring. We are excited to be participating in this very meaningful about hosted by Thrive. This is one of our most important and one of our most successful, and we are honoured to share it and help raise money and awareness for this cause.

A very unique and tragic situation came to light today in the Brockville, Ontario area. It was reported to us that last evening a young man was drugged and robbed, and when he awoke he was wearing a Concrete Angel Apparel shirt which he did not previously own.

Now sifting through some cloudy memories, he has reached out to our company for help. Being that our company is now housed in Newfoundland, all that we can really do is share this information in hopes that this situation can be resolved.

The young man and his friends are looking for a brown, adult Sahara bicycle in Brockville that went missing Wednesday night, along with keys that have a blue lanyard on it's key chain.

You're all invited to come join Jaida for her very first art show!

This very special art show and sale is coming up on October 21st. It will feature live music, brand new never before seen pieces, and great conversation. She have been painting up a storm and would be honoured if you could stop in and check out her art.

A lot of big things are happening in our lives, and it might be her first and last exhibit like this in the area for a while. We will have Concrete Angel Apparel on display and for sale as well.

We wanted to draw attention to a great local happening in Brockville Ontario. Our friends at Sams Brass Racks are hosting a fundraiser for and we are contributing courtesy of and courtesy of . We are proud to contribute our and resources to this local cause that helps rescue and rehouse cats and kittens all across our area.

Please be sure to stop in and donate to this worthwhile cause, and also feel free to place a bid to get your hands on some cool . This is a great way to support a great local , and and at the very same time!

This past week, we got to join a whole crew of quality and at the Night Market On Perth St August 26th. This is a really lovely setup and fairly special place each Thursday night. We had the disadvantage of being there on a hotter than usual night after an exhaustingly scorching day. But we have to say, despite that, it was still very busy and the organizers and vendors were gracious and pleasant.

Who's coming Shop The Street this Saturday on King Street in Downtown Brockville? We will be selling our charity shirts in front of THE BAR BROCKVILLE from 12 noon to 3pm. All profits this summer are supporting survivors of residential schools. Jaida will also have some incredible art for sale at the table as well. Special Announcement: being that Concrete Angel Apparel is designed to be a social enterprise, we have decided that the Indian Residential School Survivors Society will be our recipient of all profits for the months of July and August.

We have all been made aware of the atrocities of the residential school system, but even today it is hard to grasp the gravity of the situation with new bodies being recovered almost every other day. This has made for a very somber and muted Canada Day celebration this year, as many of us who love our country have taken this opportunity for pause as we deliberate how we can be better, how to properly process and attone for the atrocities committed against our Indigenous and First Nations communities, and how to seek a more just society through reconciliation.

What many might not be aware is that Jaida comes from Indigenous ancestry, and as an artist at the centre of this project, she and I felt strongly that our recipients for the summer months should help shed light on the tragedies that we are still learning of.

This is a non-profit venture. All profits from sales until September will directly benefit this worthwhile organization. If you like our shirt designs and have any desire to support our project, please send us a private message through our page and we will do our best to get back to you right away. Even if we all do our part, these atrocities are immense and will not be nor should be easily forgotten. We stand in solidarity with those mourning this loss. And we mourn with you.
