For those of you that may not know, my granddaughter, Brooklyn Patrick, is running for council in the Township of Augusta!
You may seen her around the garden centre over the years. We created our annual Fall Fest together, and she assists us with marketing, events, workshops, etc.
Earlier this year, she also helped a group of my neighbours and I deal with the Council over a project proposed for our backyards. She created a presentation for our first resident meeting to break down the municipal process and help us categorize our concerns, wrote a cited report on our concerns, organized a petition, and did a delegation before Council.
She went above and beyond to represent our concerns and asked Council all the hard questions.
