Well it’s not very often I get the time to do any projects for myself. So I made a nice large cutting board for slicin smoked meat. This beast will hold a couple racks of ribs or a full brisket. If I was to do it over I would have left the single strip of walnut out of the middle to show the engraving better.

This is the third year that I have supported the Stella Salaris Memorial Golf Tournament without question, I didn’t fully understand the proceeds of the tournament other than it was to raise money for cancer. This year I received the details of the proceeds and how they were divided. Some local families, St. Joseph’s Hospice, and That Girls Got Moxie. Everyone receiving some of the proceeds is dealing with some sort of cancer or helping individuals and their families while dealing with cancer. One of the recipient families I have come to find out are very good friends of mine and have been for over 30 years so it makes this years support even more special. The Salaris Tournament is in its 24th year and hats off to the family as it is in memory of Stella Salaris a family member they lost to cancer.
