Tip of the week: BACK UP YOUR PHONE!

How many times can you enter wrong passcode on iPhone?

Unless you backed up, entering the wrong passcode more than six times in a row to unlock your screen will cut you off from your phone's data FOREVER.

Many times we see broken screens do their own thing....that means trying your password MANY TIMES. We are starting to see this more and more. We can help, but the contents on the phone are gone unless you have it backed up previously.

THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THOSE FAST CHARGERS

Fast chargers decrease charging time by upping the ampere or current that is injected into your battery. Speeding up charging process generates lots of heat that will damage your battery charges holding elasticity which results in the reduction of your battery life.

6) Tip on how to extend the life of your phone batteries:
TURN OFF THE BACKGROUND REFRESH
When an app is closed, it will keep running for bit until it enters a suspended state. When you have background App Refresh activated, all those Apps will continually check for updates and new content. They will drain your battery. To do this got to Settings, General, Background App and turn it off completely OR choose which Apps you’d like to keep running.
Android Phones: Settings>Apps>Select the apps to turn off background refresh.
I-phones: Settings>General>Background App refresh>Select apps to turn off background refresh

TRY TO KEEP BATTERY CHARGED BETWEEN 40% AND 80%
It is not good for a battery to spend too long at 0% or 100%. Minimizing the amount of time your battery spends at either end of the spectrum is best for battery life.

Long awake times may consume more battery life. Turning on auto lock to 30 seconds or one minute will automatically turn off the display, thereby extending the life of your battery

AVOID EXTREME TEMPERATURES.

Lithium ion batteries do not like extreme hot or cold. The chemical reactions in your battery will slow during cold temperatures, whereas high temperatures will increase the resistance of charge passing through your battery’s nodes, resulting in more heat radiated from your battery.
