My Dutch grandmother always used to say, “A deal is a deal, even if you don’t need it. Because you find someone who needs it!”
Grandma Voskamp has been home with Jesus for many years now, but her words still come to mind whenever I find a good bargain.
So when one of our suppliers for the Brussels Florist and Listowel Florist sent out their summer liquidation flyer, we gave it a good look. And what caught our eye? These handmade blue and white pots, with their lovely Delft-like designs, at 86–88% off our supplier’s regular price.
These were pots we would ordinarily have to sell for $25–$45, depending on the size, before we’d added a single flower. But now with a deal like that, we could fill them with fresh flowers and pass the savings along to you.
So we did what Grandma Voskamp would have done.
We loaded up!
A few weeks later, a whole tall pallet arrived outside our sister shop, the Listowel Florist, with vases. And if you can’t tell from the smile, I was rather pleased!
And as it happens, greenhouse tulip season is just beginning here in Canada and over in Holland! We tend to think of tulips as spring flowers, but they’re making their way back into the shop now. And what better to fill these blue and white pots with than a cheerful gathering of tulips?
So our designers got to work and created a collection we’re calling Delftfully Yours: colourful tulips, lovely greenery, and a blue and white pot you can keep filling long after the beauty of those first flowers.
And I think there’s something especially nice about finding a good deal when you already know who you want to share it with. And in this case, that’s all of you.
So if you’ve been thinking of bringing someone beautiful flowers, these just might be perfect:

And if you need us to deliver, we’d be happy to! We deliver to Brussels, Ethel, Cranbrook, Listowel, Atwood, Milverton, and Palmerston and surrounding areas.
(And I think Grandma would approve.) 😊
