ZUCCHINI - I have tried a lot of recipes over the years, like A-LOT. I’m sure anyone that has grown zucchini will tell you how abundantly they produce and how many different ways they can be used in the kitchen! I typically love them grilled but I tired a new recipe tonight with pecan and mint! Boy was it a delight!!
The garden is always pushing me to try new things in the kitchen and this will certainly be made again!

Looks like I’ll be ready for my first batch of canning this weekend ☺️
4 varieties in here. Mostly paste tomato’s and certainly happy it’s the first week of august! Last year peak tomato time was the same week as our cottage trip, looks like we are ahead this year 👏

Third time is a charm! The first two years I grew these, they took but were not abundant. This year however they are flourishing and we can’t pick ‘em fast enough! 😋
1) I over planted
2) gave them ample space
3) started them 3 weeks indoors before I would start my cucumbers (6 weeks before frost)
4) nothing crowded them as seedlings!
Have you grown these? I think they used to be less common however over the last few years I see more and more gardeners adding these to their beds!

Going to find some spots today to squeeze in some more seeds! In zone 5 I’m going to aim to plant anything that takes less then 90 days to harvest! Really working on having a little more curiosity with my garden and extending the season. Fingers crossed this works out!
