We fish northern west Saskatchewan lakes around La Loche and Buffalo Narrows.

Bait caught are spot tail shiner and emeral shiner. These minnows only grow to be 4 inch long and a life expectancy of 4 years.

The operations are run out of Buffalo and La Loche starting in May until October . Candle Lake Shiners hires local people and employs up to 50 staff per season.

Our methods to catch bait fish varies from seine nets to 26 ft boots to alumni min floating cage nets.

Candle lake shiners is dedicated to hire locals in the impact areas and to produce the highest quality bait for fishers to enjoy.
