ANNOUNCEMENT
If you've been following over the last couple of years, you'll know that I have been back and forth on the future of Canucktibles. In fact, I posted a similar announcement almost exactly 2 years ago that I would begin winding down, but that has stretched out until now. As we approach the 10th anniversary of Canucktibles, almost to the day, it has become clear to me that it really is time to close up and move on.
When I started Canucktibles 10 years ago, the collector space was very different. Many of my predecessors, who I had purchased many figures from as a collector, had closed their stores down. Retail stores were not offering a reliable selection of products. There really weren't many great options for collectors across Canada. There was an opportunity to serve a different role in the community, and through the highs and lows I am happy to have spent the time operating Canucktibles.
In the time since, there have been many other stores that have started up and found some measure of success. Some have been great, a few have been not so great, but I know there are a few that will continue to serve Canadian collectors well. I have personally ordered from stores like Toy Snowman, DJC Collectibles, ecollectibles, and RedShift7 among others, and have had positive experiences with each. If you are looking for a new place to order things, I would recommend giving any of them a try.
With that said, there is still some inventory remaining and a handful of pre-orders still outstanding. Effectively immediately, there is an additional 20% discount on all in-stock orders, on top of the already reduced prices. The website will remain live until the end of February, after which any remaining stock will either be listed on our ebay store (canucktiblesstore), sold at local toy shows, or in the end donated to charity.
For any open pre-orders past that date, the website will still remain accessible so you can access your orders or reference what items are still outstanding. As of March 1, the website will not accept any new orders.
I want to personally thank everyone who has engaged with Canucktibles in any way over the last 10 years, it truly has been a great experience.
