Studio Archive
Over the years, the studio has gathered pieces from many different chapters of my practice.

Extra pieces from custom orders. Some from directions I eventually moved beyond. Some attached to me.

I’ve been looking through these works again recently, it felt like the right time to open the studio archive.

On October 16, a selection of earlier works will become available online — pieces from different moments in the studio, brought together in one collection.

My mailing list will have early access on October 15.

A little more soon.

Looking back at some earlier work, I’m reminded of how drawn I was to organic forms.

I liked the irregularity — the way a piece could feel a little unbalanced, a little unexpected, fun, joyful and still feel complete.
I see these earlier pieces as an important part of that process. I may go back to where I was.

Looking back at some earlier work, I’m reminded of how drawn I was to organic forms.

I liked the irregularity — the way a piece could feel a little unbalanced, a little unexpected, fun, joyful and still feel complete.

At the time, I was exploring how much I could change a familiar form by making it softer, rounder, and less controlled. Some of those experiments stayed with me; others gradually led me in a different direction.

Over time, my work became more simplified and structured, but I still see these earlier pieces as an important part of that process.

Looking back now, I can see the connection more clearly. I may go back to where I was.

A few pieces from an earlier chapter of the studio.

Proportions and balance

Are we educated to feel aesthetically satisfied in certain proportions and balance?

Or we are used to certain proportions from our surroundings like nature and manmade things

Or it’s just an instinctive reaction?

As an artist,
Where to add another dot or line could be matters.
I am wondering if I am creating things with my free wills? Or with programmed calculations
