The Beatles’ 1965 album Rubber Soul will be reissued in October 2across a number formats, including, for the first time for the Fab Four, a standalone blu-ray audio.

The album has been newly mixed by Giles Martin and Sam Okell in Atmos and Stereo and the key formats are as follows

4CD super deluxe box with new stereo mix, a disc of sessions/demos, ‘the single’ + mono mix and US version5LP + 7″ super deluxe. As above, except on vinyl
2LP and 2CD versions with a second disc of session/demos highlights & ‘the single’
Blu-ray Audio with 2026 Atmos & 2026 Stereo mixes + ‘the single’ + videos

All of the new Rubber Soul formats feature the album’s new stereo mix, sourced directly from the original four-track master tapes. The audio has been remixed with the help of de-mixing technology developed by the award-winning sound team led by Emile de la Rey at Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films Productions Ltd.
The super deluxe box set versions feature 24 early session recordings, including 20 previously unreleased takes and three previously unreleased home demos – among them early versions of Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out, plus Little Girl, a previously unheard John Lennon song outline never before released or even rumoured. The boxes also include the original mono album (but not the original 1965 stereo mix, last seen in the 2009 Mono CD box), the original Capitol US album version and the 1965 double A-side single.

Both box sets offer an 88-page hardbound book featuring a brand new written introduction by Paul McCartney, and a foreword compiled from John Lennon’s own words, alongside rare photographs, in-depth album background and track notes.

'Buddy’s Got the Blues,' the sold-out 90th birthday concert for Buddy Guy at Radio City Music Hall on October 1st, has announced an official pay-per-view livestream via nugs.

The Martyn Atkins-directed livestream will allow fans around the globe to witness this one-night-only summit of artists whose own careers intertwined with Guy’s by way of influence or interaction, including Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Joe Bonamassa, Billy F. Gibbons, Aloe Blacc, Shemekia Copeland, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, Robert Randolph, Bobby Rush, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jimmie Vaughan, Ally Venable, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and many more special guests. Of course, the event will also feature Buddy Guy himself, who is currently on tour celebrating his 90th around the U.S. Steve Jordan will serve as the evening’s music director.

The pay-per-view of 'Buddy’s Got the Blues: A 90th Birthday Celebration,' presented by Blackbird Presents and Live Nation, is available to order in both HD and 4K formats from now through showtime via the nugs mobile app on iOS and Android or online here. Once purchased, the livestream may be viewed on viewers’ big screens at home via the native nugs apps on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, and other Android TV devices.

Pricing for the Buddy Guy 90th birthday concert livestream is set at $39.99 for HD or $49.99 for 4K. MIT Technology Review estimated that a high-quality five-second video made with the open-source CogVideoX model used about 3.4 million joules—over 700 times the energy of a high-quality generated image and comparable to running a microwave for more than an hour. The IEA says data centers still rely substantially on fossil-fuel electricity, though energy mixes vary by region.
