What is the best Container Soy wax?
We don't play favourites, but these are the differences between our four types of 100% Soy Container Waxes:

⚪️ 464
Golden Wax 464 soy wax contains soy-based additives that are FDA-approved and Kosher-certified. The additive enables the soy to be poured at hotter temperatures reducing frosting and increasing fragrance oil load.
Melt Point: 113-119F
Pour Temp: 125-145F

⚪️ 444
Golden Wax 444 soy wax contains soy-based additives that are FDA-approved and Kosher-certified. The additive enables the soy to be poured at hotter temperatures reducing frosting and increasing fragrance oil load. Slightly harder than 464.
Melt Point: 120-125F
Pour Temp: 125-145F

⚪️ 419
Golden Wax 419 soy wax is an upgraded version of 464 with an additional plant based additive that reduces bloom/frost and improves aesthetics. Single pour with great glass adhesion, smooth & glossy surface, and smooth re-crystallization after burning.
Melt Point: 110-115F
Pour Temp: 170-180F

⚪️ BW929
BW929 is an all-natural, 100% soy blend, designed for single-pour scented container candles. Off-white in colour with a smooth appearance. Formulated for a high fragrance load.
We recommend going up a wick size from our other container soy waxes.
Melting Temperature - 128°F
Pouring Temperature - 160°F to 180°F

We love bees at Wicks & Wax! Their beeswax is used to make many things - beeswax sheets, candles, food wraps, encaustic art, wood polish, and so much more. And of course they pollinate the crops that feed us.

Here is some buzz-worthy beekeeping terminology for you:

PROPOLIS : a brownish resinous material of waxy consistency collected by bees from the buds of trees and used as a cement in repairing and maintaining the hive

WORKER BEE : female bees that do not reproduce. They represent 80-99% of the colony population, and can play more than a dozen specialized rolls inside and outside the hive, from cleaning to honey producing to foraging

APICULTURE : the keeping of bees especially on a large scale

APIARY : a collection of hives or colonies of bees kept for their honey
🐝
BEE BREAD : bitter yellowish-brown pollen stored up in honeycomb cells and used mixed with honey by bees as food
