An important company update from Noel Buckley:

The last few years have been the toughest this industry has ever seen. Knolly hasn’t been immune but we’ve been grinding through it, restructuring and fighting to keep building the bikes you trust.

That fight hit a wall. Our bank, RBC- in the middle of posting record profits- decided to call in our account rather than work with us through the recovery. It’s forced our hand in a way we didn’t choose.

So here’s where we are: we’re evaluating every option to find the best path forward. Our highest priorities are taking care of our staff and our active customers. Full stop.

This is not an obituary. I started this company because I believed I could build a better bike. I still do. The question isn’t whether Knolly should exist, it’s what it needs to look like next.

I’ll keep you posted. Honestly, no spin. That’s the only way I know how.

Knolly Tech: Environmental considerations! Material selection doesn’t just affect how a bike rides, it affects what happens when that bike reaches the end of its usable life.

Carbon fiber has valid performance applications, but its end-of-life options remain extremely constrained.

The practical difference is simple: an aluminum frame can be recycled into new material. A carbon frame usually can’t.

"Knolly builds frames intended to be ridden year after year after year, using materials that can be responsibly handled when their riding life is over."

Another reason why 6066 aluminum is the right choice for Knollys full suspension mountain bikes!

6066 Aluminum is designed to work with our Fourby4 suspension. It loads the frame in very specific and intentional ways: forces are designed to be minimized whenever possible; torsional stiffness and lateral compliance are intentionally calculated.

6066 Aluminum excels here because:

-Its formable nature allows loads to be minimized at key suspension/frame interfaces and it distributes stress throughout the structure.

-It's generally impervious to most environmental contamination, in particular stress corrosion cracking which affects some widely available aluminum alloys.

-In the unlikely event of serious frame damage, failures are rarely catastrophic unlike other common full suspension frame materials.

Suspension performance doesn’t exist in isolation. Frame material choice matters, and 6066 aluminum allows Knolly suspension systems to perform consistently over the long term.

New Endorphin Bike Check! Looking for inspiration for your next build? Take a closer look at Genevieve Lavoie's small Ano Purple Endorphin, a head-turning spec built by featuring i9 pink/purple wheels and Chromag bars that perfectly complement the bold anodized finish.

"This is my second Knolly Endorphin. I rode the previous 135MX version and loved how much confidence it gave me, it opened the door to bigger features and pushed my riding to the next level. When the updated 150mm version dropped, I knew it was time to see what that extra capability could unlock. I am excited to ride it in the upcoming season!" -Genevieve

Why do we choose Aluminum? Carbon fiber is an impressive material but it comes with trade-offs, especially for aggressive, long-term trail use.

At Knolly, we're material-agnostic. We don’t view carbon as “better” or “worse,” it's just different.

We believe that 6066 aluminum aligns particularly well with our design priorities because it offers:
-Visible quality: Welds and material finish are plain to see, not hidden beneath paint or filler.
-Clear damage visibility: Impacts and wear are easier to assess, rather than concealed beneath layers of carbon and resin.
-Weight competitiveness in complete bikes: When durability, stiffness, and ride feel are considered, dollar-for-dollar high-end aluminum and carbon trail and enduro bikes often weigh the same.

Most importantly, aluminum delivers a quiet, connected ride feel that stays consistent over time. Knolly bikes are built to go the distance, ride after ride.

New bike check! A close look at Mark Balcita’s () Delirium build. He has dialed his rig to send massive jumps while keeping it playful when the trail turns wild.

“I love how the Delirium handles absolutely everything I throw at it. From big jumps to tech, it charges through the rough stuff yet still feels incredibly playful and responsive.”
