I was lucky enough to see Ian Brown in Brighton at his peak.
Pure swagger. No apology.

That unmistakable Manchester cockiness always contrasted the depth of his writing — FEAR isn’t bravado, it’s a manifesto. Each line an acronym. Each verse a quiet warning about ego, media, and control.

I remember skating Southbank Centre at sunset, headphones on, letting Music of the Spheres play while the city slowed down. Reflection over noise. Meaning over hype.

There’s nothing like rediscovering a song you loved from the past.

On my drive home, Hold Tight London circled through my playlist—and I hadn’t heard those hypnotic drums in years. Instant time warp.

Tom and Ed are still as relevant today as they were in the ’90s—at least in my humble opinion.

They’ve been on my bucket list forever. One day I’ll see them live. I may just have to travel for it.

For anyone familiar with Irish hip-hop, HOOD comes from Kneecap, a Belfast-born crew that rhymes in both Irish and English with unapologetic political and cultural fire. 

The group is made up of three members — stage names and real names:
• Mo Chara (real name: Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh)
• Móglaí Bap (real name: Naoise Ó Cairealláin)
• DJ Próvaí (real name: J.J. Ó Dochartaigh) 

Their music combines modern beats with Irish-language rap, rooted in the lived experience of West Belfast youth and fierce pride in language and identity. 

In 2024, the trio starred in a self-titled biographical film, Kneecap, directed by Rich Peppiatt and released after premiering at Sundance. In it, they play heightened versions of themselves in a story built around their rise, culture clashes, and defiance of expectations — blending truth and cinematic energy.
