Happy 1st birthday to our little Lennox 💙
It's truly insane how fast time goes by. I remember like it was yesterday, me holding you in my arms for the first time and just so happy that you arrived safely.

Lenny, you are truly one of a kind. You certainly have made your mark as you have completely taken what we thought we knew about parenting and chucked it out the window 😁🤪🙃

But, admis of all the tough lessons we've had, you are such a sweet little boy. You're a character for sure!

Meaning they spend most of their time in the crib. Which is why choosing a safe mattress is important.

A few points to remember:
♡ You want to choose a firm mattress
♡ All North American crib mattresses must measure between 51 5/8 to 53 inches in length and 27 1/4 to 28 inches in width and can range between 4 to 6 inches in thickness.

FABRIC //

When it came to deciding on the type of fabric I wanted to use for our crib sheets, I will admit, it did take some time.

I knew I wanted to stand out and provide something soft, safe and long-lasting - but more importantly affordable.

Our babies nurseries is something we typically don't mind breaking the bank on with cute accents and adorable bedding.

But, the reality is, not everyone can afford 100% organic, vegan, all natural cotton bamboo sheets. Which mind you sounds like a damn custom Starbucks order. Frustrating right?! Especially if they forgot the almond milk!

Don't get me wrong, I am all for sustainability and paving a path for our littles futures, but in all reality, organic, yea sure feels amazing, but it isn't going to help your littles sleep "better" at night.

That's why I went "back to the basics". 100% cotton. Simple. Safe. Affordable.

TIP TUESDAY// NURSERY INSPO

When it comes to nursery's, I'm all about layering in higher priced pieces with a healthy mix of budget friendly furnishings.

The key is balance and a love for a good garage sale or thrift store.

Babies rooms are a little different than the rest of the house. It's a place of sanctuary for our littles to rest and feel safe- and that expensive throw pillow isnt going to do that.

Keep it simple and have fun. Incorporate neutrals with pops of color for that extra oomph.
