Our volunteer aprons, resting in the off-season—missing all you book-lovers and books! 😂

Did you know more than 1,200 volunteers helped to collect, sort and sell books at the 2026 Calgary Reads Big Book Sale?!

All that volunteering over donation, sort and sale days added up to 16,000+ hours of gifted time!

We have an incredible volunteer community! 🫶

! 📚🧤Remember that April Stuff-a-Truck weekend that was just a little frosty and windy, and you all came out wearing puffy coats and smiles to donate and box a record number of books?

Readers and volunteers, you are all kinds of amazing! 🤗

Fun to look back on a hot Calgary summer day—when many of us are enjoying the fruits of that labour as we read under the sun. 📖☀️

Thank you once again to everyone who made our donation days some of our best yet—all in support of getting kids reading! ✨
