Shoutout to the incredible Doll Knitters at South Calgary Community Church! 🧶✨💖

Operation Doll Knit has been spreading joy since 2005, creating over 45,000 handmade dolls that have travelled around the world bringing comfort and smiles. This year, the amazing knitters donated 100 adorable dolls to our trip to Zambia, and they brought pure happiness to the children at Hillside Academy in Lusaka, Zambia! 😄🎉

Got extra yarn lying around? The knitters would love it! They prefer worsted/4-weight but happily use anything that comes their way. Just contact South Calgary Community Church if you’d like to donate.

✨ Zambia Update ✨
We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised $5,708.81 toward our school project in Kitwe, Zambia! 💛

Alongside funds, we’ve received 100 handmade dolls, kitchen towels, soccer gear, medical supplies & more. Our team leader is already on the ground, and the rest of us arrive Sept 6.

✨ Thank You, Christine & Team at Shoppers Millrise! ✨

We are so grateful to Christine (pharmacist & owner) and her amazing team at our local Shoppers Drug Mart in SW Calgary, Millrise for donating all the over-the-counter supplies we’ll need to top up our first aid kit for our trip to Kitwe, Zambia 🩺✈️.

Christine and her team had also supported us with our previous builds, and we can’t say enough about the excellent travel clinic and the warm, reliable service her team always provides. 💙

With their generous donation, we’ll be ready to build toilets at Makuba Primary School and support the kids and community in Kitwe. 🙏
