I am thrilled to announce that I am now serving as the Otipemisiwak Metis Government District 6 - Calgary Elbow, District Council Member.

My community has always been close to my heart, and it is with great honour that I continue to work to bring our members together.

Together, we strive to make everyone feel connected, heard, and to celebrate the vibrant culture and heritage of being Métis. I look forward to fostering unity and creating opportunities for our community to thrive.

Okay, this is an excellent example of one of those fake Indigenous pages infecting fb.

Be Native, Be Proud showed up in my fb feed today

When you look at the initial information, it states it has a website and a store with pickup in the United States. Well, I clicked on the website, and my wonderful anti-virus/spam protection brought up a pop-up box and blocked the website. It said that this is a fake website that steals your information to do the scammy thing on you!!!

Hmmm. Then I go to the page transparency section, which clearly states that the people running this are from India, Vietnam, and the US. Maybe they have a friend in the US, so they can add them to appear even a little legit.

Getting so tired of these fake Indigenous pages and groups.
There were 6 new ones in my FB feed today. Blocked all of them.
This appears to be a daily thing for me now.
