One misplaced hole can ruin the entire piece.

These 10 seconds look satisfying, but punching perfectly even, aligned holes for hand stitching takes patience and practice. Every strike has to land exactly where it should because there is no undo button in leather. 🔨🧵

If one hole is off, the whole piece may need to be remade from scratch.

I could not find a glasses case slim enough, so I made my own. 🤎

I wanted something lightweight and stylish that would match my bag and feel like me. So I started with a paper mock-up, adjusted the shape, then recreated it in leather. ✂️✨

The hardest part wasn’t making the strap. It was making it look like it had always belonged to the bag. 🤎

The customer needed a longer strap for a purse she already loved. To preserve the bag’s original character, I carefully sourced matching leather, thread and hardware before building the new strap completely from scratch. 🧵

It was cut, skived and stitched, with an adjustable design that looks intentional and feels like part of the original bag. ✨

I almost spent $500 with zero income coming in… then something completely unexpected happened. 😳

Day 14 of my 100-day challenge to save my leather studio. 🧵

I checked out local markets in Calgary, but the numbers added up fast: around $200 for a booth, $200 for a tent and gear, plus $100 in materials. That’s at least $500 for one day—with no guarantee of a sale.

So I pivoted and put that budget toward online ads instead. 💻

While I was waiting for the ads to work, I suddenly received an email asking for a custom strap for a customer’s Stampede bag. I still don’t know how she found me, but I spent the next two days hunting down matching leather and hardware. 🤎

Maybe the universe was reminding me that once you start taking action, good things can follow. ✨

You don't need the perfect environment to start! 🔨✨
I’m still working out of my unfinished basement right now.
My husband and I moved into our new home back in March, and there’s still so much renovation work left to do across the whole house.
I originally planned to wait until the basement was completely finished before launching, but that was taking way too long... so I decided to just start anyway!
It’s going surprisingly well, and orders are still coming in. I’m so grateful to everyone who continues to support my small business! ❤️

6 months of daily wear, and it only gets better. ✨

I have been using this as my everyday carry for over 6 months — just comparing this piece since day 1. The leather became much more lustrous and rich. 🤎

The edge paint and embossing are still solid as a rock. 🔨 Although there are some minor scratches from daily use, I still love how the richer patina looks.
