Happy holiday Monday!!
I know….it’s late…it’s been a long day ❤️
Thank you for your patience while we look at today’s book review….
Last Night in Brooklyn by Xóchitl González
This coming of age story highlights being young, unsure of yourself & wondering what the heck I’m a suppose to do with my life!
Slower in the beginning by the end it really highlighted the importance of self love & finding yourself within your own heart & mind, not who others think you are. As Alicia discovers herself I remembered the feeling of that inner growth…especially in the park scene.
Along with self discovery, I also loved how the story showed that what is seen on the outside or on someone’s socials isn’t always what’s going on behind closed doors. Everyone has secrets! As well as how the author placed real historical happenings within the novel….even though it effected my soul that a historical fiction could happen in 2007 🤦♀️😂
If you want to experience this reflective story we have one hardcover available, excellent condition, $18.
