Don't forget- our short story contest deadline is quickly approaching! Get those stories in while you can!

I came up with a great idea for a collection of short stories as I was driving across Canada this summer. Bluester Books will be creating a short story compilation titled Canada's 100 Places to Inspire. You are invited to submit your short stories! We'll be offering $100 to the author of our #1 short story!

The details:
1) Submissions must be TRUE stories (or based on true stories) and must be between 500-2000 words.
2) The story must be written in the first person (from your perspective).
3) Your story must feature an amazing place somewhere in Canada- think Terry Fox Memorial, Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, your favourite peak in Banff National Park, best spot to whale watch in B.C... You can choose monuments, places of natural beauty, or just places that are special to you!
4) You must submit your story as a word document to [email protected].
5) You will be credited as the author however no royalties will be awarded as this will be a free publication. You may publish this story elsewhere so long as you maintain the rights to reproduce it.
6) You may submit one picture if you feel it is relevant to your story.
7) Submission deadline is October 31, 2016. Winner will be notified via email no later than December 31, 2016.
The prize:
We will select one story to be featured as our #1 inspiration place. The winner will receive $100 through online etransfer (winner must have a Canadian bank account).

-you send me your data (FB message, bar napkin, screenshot, however you have it organized) and I will build you the spreadsheet you need for costing;
-if you need automatic formulas, I'll make sure they're in place;
