We’re closing out our Asian Heritage Month features with Kousaido, a Kyoto-based incense maker honouring centuries of craft and tradition.

Kousaido has been crafting incense on Karasuma Street in Kyoto, where the city itself is a living work of art. Their incense is made with natural ingredients on a base of sandalwood, producing a soft, gentle fragrance with little smoke.

Some scents do more than smell good. They make space for stillness.
