🌊 Happy World Oceans Day 🌊
For the past five years, the FivePoint community has come together to help care for the waterways that connect our city to the rest of the world. Together, we’ve removed approximately 240lbs of garbage from Calgary’s river pathways and green spaces—proof that small local actions can have a real impact.
This year’s cleanup was originally scheduled for today, but due to dangerously high river levels, we’ve made the decision to postpone for everyone’s safety.
The good news? We’re aiming to gather next week instead, weather permitting.
Whether you’re a longtime customer, a neighbour, or simply someone who cares about our community, w**d love to have you join us. It’s a great opportunity to meet fellow community members, spend some time outdoors, and make a tangible difference in our city.
🌱 Snacks and beverages provided
🌱 420-friendly environment
🌱 Open to customers and community members from both our Bridgeland and Victoria Park locations
🌱 Meeting location: Bridgeland location 945 General Ave NE (see event details in the graphics)
🌱 Weather and river conditions permitting
On World Oceans Day, it’s worth remembering that every piece of litter prevented from entering our rivers helps protect watersheds far beyond Calgary. What starts here eventually flows downstream.
We hope to see you next week as we continue a tradition that’s become one of our favourite community events of the year. 💙🌎
