As we pause to reflect today, let’s remember that each life lost had a name, a face, a voice, and was taken too soon by senseless violence.

This year, the Kensington BIA had the privilege of partnering with the local Legion branch on a banner project that honours those lost in our community. As time passes, and with fewer veterans among us, it’s easy to become distant from the deep respect and reverence these individuals deserve. This project helps to keep their memory alive, reminding us that they were not just names in history, but people with thoughts, feelings, and lives of their own.
