Happy Saturday everyone, Iβm so happy to see the summer has finally arrived.
It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. But before I get to the sad part I want to start with positivity and gratitude.
To my many clients, I am forever grateful that you took the time to support my humble little shop, that you trusted me to clothe the most precious people in your lives, your children. It is an honour that I cherished with every stitch, and I never took it for granted. I always felt I gave everything to each piece I finished, and the reward was the little smiles you shared with me as they showed off their 10 Tiny Toes garments. I am so thankful to each of you for choosing to support me rather than the multitude of other options out there. I know handmade costs more than big box options, but I can guarantee that no one put more love and care into each piece of clothing than a small handmade shop owner.
To my reps, I am forever in your debt. You took time out of your lives to help me grow my little dream into a full-fledged reality. I was so overwhelmed when I would open and have to close within an hour due to the number of orders your hard work brought in. I know the little discount I was able to offer was not close to enough to capture the depth of my gratitude, you did it out of love and support for me. The level of dedication each of you showed was more than I could have ever hoped for. You are all an extension of my family, and I will always be here to support each of you in return if the opportunity should ever present itself. You are the heart and soul of 10 Tiny Toes.
To my long-term loyal clients, you know who you are, you have become more than a client, you have grown friendships with me that I truly hope will survive long beyond this post. You have supported me for years and many, many orders later you have become a part of me. You not only supported 10 Tiny Toes, but you provided me the opportunity to use my skills to feed my own family. For that I cannot thank you enough. You are and will continue to be my dearest of friends.
Now to the saddest part of this post ... it is official, 10 Tiny Toes is closing. Our family is relocating temporarily with the possibility of it becoming a long term move. What started earlier this month with the goal of taking advantage of the strong housing market and downsizing in the short term, has now turned into a completely different kind of move. This unfortunately will make it an impossibility for me to continue in this form of business. In my time in the small shop world, I have met many other owners who make incredible products and I want to recognize them here and wish them continued success. If youβre looking for quality handmade items, please check out these incredible shops Happy Apple, Little Wee Things Handmade, Nic's & Stitches Custom Sewing, The Custom Elephant, Run+play handmade, and Aspen Marie Stitchery. (Facebook isnβt allowing me to tag them but you can easily look them up).
While I am forced to say good-bye for now, I wanted to take this opportunity to say this one last time that I love each and every one of you. This is a chapter that will always live on in the volume of my life. 10 Tiny Toes may close, but it will forever exist in my heart. Thank you and so long for now.
