Is Alberta’s electrical code different from the rest of Canada? The short answer is yes. 👀

Like the rest of the country, Alberta uses the 2024 Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), Part I – but electricians also need to follow Alberta-specific rules and processes:

1️⃣ Provincial code bulletins, interpretations, and variances known as STANDATA
2️⃣ The Alberta Electrical Utility Code for utility work
3️⃣ Permitting and inspection processes that vary by jurisdiction

E.B. Horsman Calgary customers! Before you drive over to our branch today, we just wanted to remind you that our Calgary location has moved down the street to a larger building. Only 2 minutes away, the new address is #104-11080 50 St. SE Calgary.

Our amazing staff worked ALL weekend to complete the move and are excited to show off their new digs! We have fresh coffee, lots of parking, and tons of prizes to celebrate the opening of our brand new Calgary branch!
