Do people like what I make because they enjoy my creativity? Or am I just making something that happens to be trendy? I built my platform on crochet flowers, and now I'm walking away from it. Apparently this is the worst thing you can do as a creator, but I finally admitted to myself that I dont want to make the same thing forever.
Going back to experimenting and making new designs with the crochet plants has made me feel excited to make things again, and along the way I kind of became a DIY-niche content creator? I didn't know what I was going to do after the flowers, and I think thats what made it scary to give up. Finding this new crafty, planty, limitless niche is so, so exciting for me.
I feel challenged again, to make new things with new materials and new tools and new mediums. I feel like I can take my thoughts and put it into my art and give it meaning, not just make pretty things. I hope you can continue to enjoy this crafty journey with me - even without the flowers!
