17 years ago, we started our emergency preparedness business by storing product in our basement and garage, and packaging orders in our living room. We had two young kids and a lot of work ahead of us…

Since then, our company has grown a lot and our product line has expanded. We’ve gone from just providing emergency preparedness items like 72-hour kits, to now offering a wide range of outdoor adventure, freeze-dried meals and accessories.

It’s still a family venture to this day. Our kids help out in the store and warehouse, and many of our local friends and family in Cochrane work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly.

Thank you to all of our friends and family and community who have supported us over the years! We appreciate every one of our customers, and love to see you anytime you can swing by our store. To many more years!

17 years ago we started this company!

We started out in the basement of our small home in Cochrane, Alberta. We packaged the emergency preparedness items in our living room and shipped them at the local Canada Post. As we grew, we expanded our product line and began selling outdoor adventure items and freeze-dried meals.

We moved to our current store location in Springbank, Alberta about 15 years ago now. Our kids have been very involved along our journey and we are grateful to have built this business as a family.

We are so grateful for all of the support we’ve received over the years as we’ve built this business. We started locally many years ago and now we ship emergency and outdoor food and supplies across Canada. It hasn’t always been an easy journey, but it’s something our family has been able to do together. We love making a difference in the lives of our customers, helping them have a greater peace of mind for emergencies, or just a better adventure.

It wasn’t an easy journey growing an emergency preparedness and local outdoor food store company. But we’re extremely grateful for the experiences we’ve had as a family and the amazing support we’ve received from our community!
