Seems like a very long time since I’ve been in the craftroom. Both of us have been very sick this past month+, David was “kind” enough to pass it to me. Whatever the virus was, it was NASTY!
I had to reschedule a card get together from this past weekend to middle of July. Finally feeling well enough to get back to prepping card kits.
Craftroom will need a good cleaning after I finish! Feels “good” to be back down here….better than outside for awhile as the mosquitoes are frickin EVERYWHERE! Step out the door and get swarmed!
Last weekend, Dan (in Australia) attended, what is similar to our Calgary Fan Expo, the Sydney Supanova where he met a few celebrities that were there. In early Spring, he had asked me to make several cards that he could give to those people he met. For several years now, when we attend our Fan Expo, I’ve made cards for the celebrities we’ve met. I’ll try and post some of those cards soon. But here is what I came up with for Dan.

The last day of the 2026 Calgary Fan Expo. Another great 4 days!
As usual, I made cards for the celebrities that Matt and I met this year.
This year marks 25 years for The Lord of the Rings so I had to make an extra special card for the 4 actors who played the Hobbits…Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin plus the actor who played Gimli.
Captain Kirk, William Shatner was here again so did a special 95th belated b day card for him. Had a great chat about beer and ci**rs!
I made western themed cards for the other celebrities we met.

Day 3 & 4
Yesterday was Day 3 and got in a few more hours of sorting, organizing. Also repacked a few Christmas craft market tubs and stacked them for taking out to garage.
Today was Day 4 and spent another couple hours this afternoon but you wouldn’t know I did anything from the photos. But I did sort and organize several drawers in craftroom. Still can’t “find” my countertop! It’s there somewhere!
We stopped at IKEA and picked up a couple more picture shelves so then I will be able to display more things. Hopefully get that done tomorrow morning.
Trying to figure out how to organize all my containers of stamps, dies and stencils for easiest access. And several more “scary” drawers.

I have started a huge, labour intensive project to start 2026…reorganizing craft rooms. Thursday was Day 1. Basically, just to take some photos and ponder where to start. I moved a few things around and with David’s help changed a couple of the black storage racks.
Yesterday we went to IKEA and bought another bookcase and a storage trolley. Got those put together last evening and set in place.
Today, Day 2, David put up a picture frame shelf which I will use to display some cards.
I will post photos of the project’s progress as I sort, purge and organize.

Yesterday’s set up at Edgemont community centre. Despite the cold, there were lots of peeps but not a lot of shoppers. Two markets down…one left to go. Next Saturday at Strathcona community centre.
Just “tweaked” the hanging “thingie” across the table from the string to a pole….problem of a droopy string solved! Was so much better for hanging items.
Many thanks to the friends who came by…so nice to see familiar faces.

First Christmas craft market done…the weather was more like a September day, +12 and sunshine! Steady stream of people all day.
No time to rest as next Saturday I’m at Edgemont Christmas craft market!
The weather forecast is calling for cold and some snow! If you’re out doing the Christmas markets in Calgary, stop by and say hello.
As you can see from the photos, I have a vast variety of paper craft creations…from cards to gift boxes, ornaments and so much more.
