This is a post we never wanted to write.
Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply has closed its doors.
Like many in this industry, we believed that if we worked hard enough, adapted fast enough, and continued to provide value, we could weather the constant political pressure aimed at lawful fi****ms businesses in Canada.
The reality is that there comes a point where hard work is no longer enough to overcome an environment designed to make survival difficult.
That is the unfortunate place many fi****ms businesses now find themselves.
Still, we do not want this to be remembered only as an ending.
Over the years we had the opportunity to work with incredible customers, collaborate with talented people in the industry, and contribute in our own way to the advancement of precision shooting and fi****ms innovation in Canada. We were fortunate to spend our time building rifles, solving problems, testing ideas, sharing knowledge, and serving a customer base that understood and appreciated the work behind it.
There is a great deal to be proud of in that.
To everyone who supported us — whether through purchases, referrals, conversations, encouragement, or simply believing in what we were trying to create — thank you. You gave this company purpose, and you made the hard work worthwhile.
We sincerely hope the future is kinder to the people still fighting to keep this industry alive. Canada’s fi****ms community is full of smart, determined, resourceful people, and that spirit deserves the opportunity to continue building.
For our part, we are grateful to have had the chance to contribute.
