Today was a great day for connecting here in Brampton, especially with my fellow vendors. We certainly become friends after working so much in the same spaces. We always enjoy seeing familiar smiles and getting a chance to get to know one another better. It truly is such a beautiful support system to have and I’m feeling especially grateful. Not to say we haven’t met a lovely customer - there have been so many. 💖
We are just so excited for the weekend though - we have SO much to share. Some new things for the table, loads of Aria’s designs, most of my themed boxed girls with mocs AND if they can stay with me the week, quite a few wing earrings my friends. 😍 It’s been a special little while for me and I have felt so very inspired. ✨🦋✨ Curve Lake is a special place for us and the perfect place to share them, and we are so looking forward to gathering there Saturday and Sunday for their 73rd Annual Traditional Pow Wow. 💖
We would love to see you there.

Here in Brampton for OFNEDA First Nations Economic Advancement Conference. ☺️ We will be here most of the week and look forward to making connections and sharing our art. Lucky to have heard Stan’s voice right away… a voice from my childhood and northern home. (We remember him in many wonderful ways 😘 iykyk) Always so special to bump into people you haven’t seen in a long time and even better when you share some memories and loved ones. Getting a hug from my late childhood friend’s brother meant the world. Meegwetch Jay. 💖
Now the fam is on the hunt for coffee and we are going to think about what else we can do while we are here. We are indeed here for work, but if we can explore or hug a brother we absolutely will. This busy week leads us to an even busier weekend after all - Curve Lake hosts their pow wow and we cannot wait. 💖 Perhaps we will see you there?

Meet Our MC: Kahnekahnekahtahk Stan Wesley

🎤 The movers and shakers need a great host, and we're excited to welcome Kahnekahnekahtahk Stan Wesley as our Master of Ceremonies!

Originally from Moose Cree First Nation and now residing in Six Nations Territory with his wife Mandy and their children, Maya and Tenona, Stan is a respected speaker, entrepreneur, and community leader. Known for his engaging presence, inspiring messages, and yes, his great sense of humour, Stan has spent years energizing audiences from coast to coast to coast.

Through his work at the local, regional, provincial, and national levels, Stan is passionate about celebrating success and strengthening relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. A familiar face to OFNEDA, he is thrilled to return as MC and help foster meaningful connections while celebrating excellence in First Nations economic development.

And if you have ever seen Stan on stage, you know one thing for certain: he will keep the program moving and keep everyone laughing along the way! 😄

We are so very excited to be vendors at this year's Kanehsatake Traditional Pow Wow. 💖 This will be our first year here, and we look forward to experiencing the energy and beauty of a new area and it's people. 😍

We LOVE working to music, and STEAM Fest 2026 has a great line up for us this weekend. I am especially excited to hear the spoken word artist as it is definitely a favorite form of expression. 💓 I do enjoy a good poem as much as a good song.

Music is only one of many amazing things happening at the Ampere Kawartha Lakes Makerspace though, so be sure to join us this Saturday! We will be there with our art and are looking forward to sharing and learning with you all. 💖

We are heading up to Lindsay next weekend for some family time and also to join in on STEAM Fest Lindsay 2026 https://facebook.com/events/s/steam-fest-kawartha-lakes-bigg/1695178121715336/.
We will have some new sets on our table and some more wings to learn from too. 💖
As life-long learners (and homeschoolers) with curious and creative minds, this kind of event is especially amazing. 💖 Worth the trip for anyone and a win-win for kids and parents alike, so I encourage you to consider planning in joining everyone Saturday afternoon at 12 Peel St, Lindsay. Mark it on your calendars, you don’t want to miss it! 😍

We have a gorgeous pair of earrings made from the wings of a Darling Underwing Moth with us today. 💖
Some of the beads surrounding them glow-in-the-dark, which just seems so appropriate for our winged ones that are so drawn to the light in the darkness. ✨ Equally appropriately I have topped them with howlite “moons”. As always, they are on reversible hooks. Luckily I got a quick picture at home in the dark so we can see them glow. Now they are displayed on my fav lantern, catching the eye of many a passer-by.

It is a hot, gorgeous day here in Alderville First Nation. 🌞 So far the air quality seems fine. Grand entry wasn’t too long ago and the beat of the drum surrounds us and moves us now.💓

We have a different location this weekend. I saw the coffee carafe and was so thankful originally, but I sure hope it’s a good spot for us here. I mean, it sure smells good. 😆Annnnd YES we scored a big and beautiful Indian Taco before the rush for once. OMG YUM. 😋 So you will find us here, across from the Twisted Sisters, with full bellies and big smiles. 😁
