September is Su***de Prevention Month and one of the most powerful things any of us can do is check in.
Not with a big speech. Just a text. A coffee. A "hey, I've been thinking about you."
At CWSS, we see every day how much connection matters, how a safe person, a safe place, and someone willing to listen can change the course of someone's life.
A few small ways to show up for someone:
- Reach out to someone who's been quiet lately
- Ask "how are you, really?", and mean it
- Listen without rushing to fix
- Remind someone they're not a burden
- Know the resources, so you're ready if someone needs them
You don't have to have the right words. You just have to be there.
📞 If you or someone you know needs support:
Canada's Su***de Crisis Helpline: call or text 9-8-8 (24/7, free, confidential)
CWSS Crisis Line: 780-672-1035 | Toll-free: 1-877-672-1010
No one has to face a hard moment alone.
