This holiday season, Downtown Canmore is bringing festive fun to families with the Elf on the Shelf Window Contest! Inspired by the classic "Where’s Waldo?" game, kids are invited to explore participating local businesses and spot the mischievous Elf on the Shelf hiding in their creatively decorated windows.

How to Participate
Pick Up a Contest Card: Visit Hijinx Toy Shop Downtown in Downtown Canmore to collect your contest card. (721 8 St #106, Canmore)

Search for the Elf: Walk around the downtown core and look closely at the holiday-themed window displays in each business. Somewhere in each window, the Elf on the Shelf will be playfully hidden!

Mark Your Discoveries: When you find the elf, write down the business name and the location of the elf on your contest card.

Submit Your Entry: Once you’ve found elves in as many windows as you can, at least 3 to qualify, submit your completed contest card back at Hijinx Toy Shop to be entered to with the Grand Prize.

Discover the Magic: Find the Hidden Elf in Local Businesses!

Contest Overview
This holiday season, Downtown Canmore is bringing festive fun to families with the Elf on the Shelf
Window Contest! Inspired by the classic "Where’s Waldo?" game, kids are invited to explore participating local businesses and spot the mischievous Elf on the Shelf hiding in their creatively decorated windows.

How to Participate

Search for the Elf:

When you find the elf, stop into the business and ask to have your scavenger hunt card punched
showing that you’ve found one of the elves, you’ll need to find at least 3 to qualify.

Submit Your Entry:
Once you’ve found elves in as many windows as you can (minimum 3 to qualify) submit your completed contest card back at Hijinx Toy Shop to be entered to with the Grand Prize.

How to Vote for Your Favourite Window in the Window Wonderland Contest

- Stroll through Downtown Canmore and enjoy the festive window displays created by participating businesses.
- Take a photo of the window display you think deserves to win the Window Wonderland contest.
- Share your photo to your own Instagram account and tag in your post or story with . Make sure your account or post is public so your vote is counted!
- Alternatively, send your favourite window photo via direct message to the Downtown Canmore BIA Instagram account.
- All entries must be posted/shared by 2025-12-16 to be eligible.

The winning window will be chosen from the images shared with the Downtown Canmore BIA.
