Meet Alberta’s Own fused glass artist, Jocelyne Watson of Calgary! She is incredibly multitalented, and one of my favourite humans.

Big news✨ Jack59 Shampoo + Conditioner Bars was just a part of Dragons' Den’s Shop the Den event!! So excited for Vanessa and grateful for the incredible product she has created.

Jack59 is an Indigenous owned, 100% women operated business out of Edmonton, and it’s the BEST shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used — bar or liquid. The travel kit is a must have to make packing toiletries light and easy. If you haven’t tried it, do!

It often feels like our vote may not count for much in this world today… but how we spend our money does count. It makes a difference. Shopping consciously in our communities rather than with big corps, keeps those dollars supporting people and organizations and charities close to us in a meaningful way. Your vote is important, don’t forget that.

The Heartprint Threads and Alberta’s Own journeys began at nearly the same time, just over nine years ago, and our paths have weaved and crossed and grown side-by-side. From our initial goal together of putting a donation blanket on every bed of the Calgary Drop-In Centre residence, to now launching our Building Up Alberta’s Own blanket in support of this province’s emerging creative entrepreneurs, it’s a story that continues to be written in support of changing lives.
