It’s time to start thinking about what you’d like to add to your yard!

We’re just waiting for the 2027 tree catalog to come out. Will likely start taking tree orders for next spring in 2 weeks!

We take orders until April but the sooner, the better so you can get what you’re looking for!

Also, we will be doing Christmas greenery workshops and we might also be doing pottery painting nights👀 let me know if you would be interested!! (Pottery painting will likely be $50-$60)

S O L D ! !

Oh how the bitter sweet feeling is a whole lot sweeter knowing my dearest friend, Makayla Halliday will be the one taking over Tailgate Dining!!

Miss Mak started working for me within the very first few days of opening Tailgate back in 2020, while she was still in high school! There wasn’t much training I could have given her because, truthfully, I had no idea what I was doing either. She quickly figured things out, learned her role, and somehow always knew exactly what needed to be done. We learned everything together as we worked side by side and growing alongside Tailgate. Our shifts together became like clockwork! She knew what I needed before I even had to ask, and sometimes we didn’t even have to say a word to communicate. As her time continued at Tailgate her responsibility’s grew. She knew the ins and outs and kept me on track too! Then she began to cook, make soups, come up with specials, share ideas of her own and create strong bonds with the customers. It was so special to watch her grow from a quiet high school girl who was just learning the ropes into someone who truly understood Tailgate from the inside out. She became such a huge part of what made Tailgate what it is!

I am so happy it is Mak who I get to hand over the keys too! It just makes sense that her next job title at Tailgate gets to be Owner! Her hard work over the years has truly paid off and I am as proud as I am thankful of her.

I know the community will love to see this transition happen for you Makayla, I know you’ll thrive and take such good care of the walls within Tailgate that we have created. I can’t wait to watch you continue to grow and see how you will make it your own! I wish you the best!

IMPORTANT NOTES:
-The first week of September will be my last week as owner.
-Tailgate will not be selling gift cards until Makayla officially takes over ownership.
-Your current gift cards will be valid until September 4th, so be sure to use them before then!!
-Tailgate will be back open on Tuesdays starting September 1st.
-Tailgate will be closed Saturday September 5th for Labour Day weekend.

Thinking about buying an apple tree?
Try a goodland apple at Rosie’s farm stand!
It’s one of our favourite apples that we sell. I would say it’s similar to a macintosh☀️

They are around $115-$120 for a 6 foot tree in the spring☺️

We have steamer juicers available👀

$260 each
You can find a cheaper one but this one is the best quality and will stand the test of time☺️ We’re still using the same one from when I was 9!

We replaced the silicone hose last year just because our original one was getting a little stained but it still worked great! That hose replacement was after 15 years of use!

In two afternoons I was able to make 10 quarts of chokecherry juice and 17 quarts of crabapple juice! I get 3-4 quarts from 1 load of fruit. It still takes patience but not as much cleaning as the sieve way!

Also fun fact, you can use the bottom as a regular pot and you can use it to steam other things like corn on the cob, veggies, or seafood!

Made without any artificial flavours or dyes!

There’s recommended amounts on the back but you can use more or less depending on what you like😊

Rosie’s is located in Carievale, Saskatchewan. It is a self serve, honour system, cash only farm stand.
Open 6am-10pm every single day until Christmas!
It is 1/4 mile south of Carievale on Highway 8 south. Halfway down Carievale Greenhouses lane. There’s a blue pallet sign and some huge rocks at the end of the lane! It’s the first left once you drive south of Carievale.
Carievale greenhouse is now closed for the season. It will reopen in May 2027.

Wow what a fun evening and the weather was perfect!!☀️
I think we all left with ideas and inspiration for our own yards!
