High heat and humidity can have tragic outcomes for some dogs (and flat-faced or obese cats). Please limit outdoor activity to a few minutes to do their "business". Keep them cool and hydrated.

The historic Gage Park fountain in Hamilton is temporarily out of service for most of the summer. The 1920s-era landmark is undergoing planned waterproofing repairs and concrete restoration, with water expected to be turned back on in early August. The city is actively working on the site to ensure the 1920s-era monument remains preserved.
