A great Kitchen reface/build. We replaced all the doors and drawer faces with tapered shaker door and drawer faces. Added new soft close hinges and drawer slides. Built a new desk/eating area and added new butcher block tops to it and the island. Installed a new exhaust fan and trim and made a new dining table to finish off the change. The counter tops were replaced with new quartz and new satin gold hardware was added. The change was dramatic!

A nice set of Chipindale inspired Georgian style chairs we completed. Here they are getting ready for stain and finish. Solid Cherry and hand carved.

Today, Mary Jeanette Gallant, who managed McAskill Woodworking for many years, received an Honorary Doctorate at UPEI.
Congratulations to Mary Gallant !
Mary is the founding chair of the Trust, overseeing the ongoing operations at Glenaladale. She conducts tours and gives presentations, continuing to present the historic importance of the estate and seeking financial support for its restoration.

Five outstanding leaders will receive honorary degrees, and four graduates will deliver valedictory addresses over four Convocation ceremonies at the University of Prince Edward Island, May 14 to 17. Over 1,200 graduates comprise the Class of 2024.
