Have you seen the news? We're having a Garage Sale this Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th in Windsor at Stitch Happens. We are clearing things out and making room, so we have plenty priced to move! There are tons of fabric deals on full rolls and bolts of upholstery and fashion fabric with a bit of quilting fabric sprinkled in for good measure. We love finding new and different fabrics to bring into Stitch Happens. Have you ever seen anything like this on the bolt? This is 100% paper raffia knit fabric by Katia Fabrics in Sarape Stripe. Isn't it cool? It doesn’t fray at the edges due to its knit construction and raffia is very durable for an excellent alternative to single-use plastic bags. You need some in your stash now!

The Chatham class started today, but we have one spot left in Learn to Sew Wovens class starting next week in Windsor. This is a 6 week class to learn the fundamentals of sewing clothing using modern, beginner-friendly patterns from indie pattern companies. We keep hearing that the 90s are back, and we have a fabric for that! This is a multi color burnout velvet, so it's very sheer. Aren't those colors so pretty? It's great for special occasion tops or dresses. But since it is sheer, you might want to plan for a lining for your garment. Come see it in person (and take some home) from Stitch Happens.
