We absolutely love bringing custom shower projects to life. 🔥

Brandon just wrapped up another incredible custom shower for Kevin Vreman Construction, with the beautiful design by Erin V Design.

This shower features a stunning blue herringbone feature wall, large-format porcelain tile, a custom recessed niche, and a perfectly executed envelope-cut shower pan that directs water efficiently while creating a clean, symmetrical finish. Best of all, the shower floor transitions seamlessly to the bathroom floor for a sleek, barrier-free look.

The final step will be installing the custom shower sills once the vanity countertops have been measured and fabricated. After that, this bathroom will be complete—and we can’t wait to share the finished reveal.

Bowen is the son of Brandon, CK’s very own Carpet Ninja, and it looks like Brandon is already passing down the trade. At just 15 months old Bowen is already getting familiar with the tools of the trade.

Today, Luke and his son are hard at work installing beautiful Kentwood engineered hardwood.

Hardwood and engineered hardwood installations are Luke’s specialty, and it’s awesome to see one of his sons taking an interest in the trade and learning from one of the best.

This home features a stunning 7¼” wide White Oak plank. Following NWFA recommendations, we’re installing it using the nail-down/glue-assist method to ensure maximum stability and long-term performance.

Today was one of those jobs that reminds us why we love what we do.

We had the privilege of installing three beautiful, Canadian-made window coverings for a wonderful 95-year-old lady. Her son reached out to us, and we’re so glad he did.

She was incredibly sharp, full of stories, and she made a point of asking Asher all about school and what grade he’s going into. ❤️

Asher has a 93-year-old Great-Grannie, so he knew exactly how to carry on a great conversation. Watching the two of them chat while we finished the installation was one of the best parts of the day.

At Owen Flooring, it’s never just about installing blinds. It’s about meeting amazing people, supporting Canadian-made products, and treating every home like it’s our own.

Not every part of a tile installation is glamorous—but it’s one of the most important.

A beautiful shower is only as good as what’s underneath it. That’s why proper waterproofing and crack isolation matter. If the foundation fails, so can your tile and grout.

We’ve been putting Flextile WP900 HydroBloc Waterproof & Crack Isolation Membrane to the test, and we’re seriously impressed. Not only does it create a waterproof barrier, but it also helps isolate movement in the substrate, reducing the risk of cracked tile and grout over time.

After working with countless products throughout my career, I can honestly say this is one of the nicest waterproofing membranes I’ve used. It goes on smoothly, is easy to work with, and delivers the performance we’re looking for. I have no doubt it’ll become a regular part of our installation system at Owen Flooring.

Even better, it’s made right here in Canada, and it pairs perfectly with Flextile 56SR, the premium non-sag mortar we trust for our tile installations.
