On Saturday, April 12 we are holding a Chironomid fly tying workshop. Dennis Popplestone will be showing us how to tie some of his favourite patterns.

This will be from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Teddy's Tackle workshop in Chemainus.
Bring your tying tools and vise. All materials will be provided.

Beginners Fly Tying Class - Fall 2024

Location - Teddy’s Tackle workshop at 10123 View Street in Chemainus
Instructors - Ted & Devina Brookman
Dates and Time - 6 lessons on Saturday mornings, beginning on October 5 to November from 9:30 to 11:30 AM
Cost - $40.00

If you have fly tying tools bring them along, but we have full sets of tools to lend to beginners.

In this course you will learn how to tie simple flies for local fishing on lakes, rivers and beaches.
You will learn about the tools, materials and techniques for fly tying.

There’s nothing like catching a fish on a fly you tied yourself. Come and join us!

Another summer of fishing and camping is coming to an end. Our favourite flies for coho off the kelp beds were the Intruder and Ted's fabulous Squid. Lots of fun fishing out of Port Hardy.
