Last night, staff member Aleena's twin sister Tyanna (one of our amazing Assistant Managers at the bookstore) lured her into the store with the promise of a rare, hardcover edition of Aleena's favourite book: The Hobbit by none other than J. R. R. Tolkien. Aleena has a special hutch in her home JUST for her collection of unique editions of The Hobbit, so she was eager to discover a new treasure for her personal library.

However, there was no edition of The Hobbit waiting for her.... Instead, in the soft glow of the centre aisle of The Book Man, her kind, intelligent and devoted boyfriend awaited her. At first she had no idea what was happening, just thinking that it was a nice, if not a bit puzzling surprise to see him at the bookstore after hours.... But soon it all became clear. He dropped to one knee, and a new chapter began in their love story.

Aleena used this quote today when announcing her engagement, and it is too perfect to not share here:
